Which Canadian community has won the most awards? We Have.

zibi-award-bike-blog-sm

Zibi has been called “an excellent example for the planning profession of neighbourhood planning” by the Canadian Institute of Planners and “a vibrant, world-class sustainable community where the public will be able to live, play, and work alongside a vibrant waterfront” by the American Planning Association.

Their words, not ours—although we’re inclined to agree with them.

What does an award-winning community mean for you?

It means waking up to stunning views, regardless of where you live within the community. It means less commuting and more active transit options like safe and dedicated bike lanes. It means being surrounded by green spaces and having access to the waterfront, infusing your daily routine with easy exposure to nature. It means engaging public spaces and ground floor retail options to promote organic social interactions.

In short, it means we’ve adopted some of best international urban planning practices available to make living a healthy and sustainable life easy and accessible.

The awards are piling up

· Zibi has been awarded the Reach Out award by the Canadian Urban Institute for our communications and marketing strategies as well as our public engagement.

· We were also a recipient of the Canadian Institute of Planners Annual Award for Planning Excellence in their Neighbourhood Planning category.

· We were awarded the illustrious Pierre L’Enfant International Planning Achievement Award by the American Planning Association at their National Planning Achievement Awards in 2015.

· And more recently, Zibi was one of only two recipients of the 2016 Awards for Excellence bestowed by the International Society of City and Regional Planners.
